THE PARABLE OF THE LAMP: MATTHEW 5:14-16

The Bible Said—“Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew:5:14-16
Beloved please Christians who live after godly principles are a light that brings hope to a world that is lost in darkness.
The Bible Said—“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John:8:12
“Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;” Philippians:1:27
The Bible Said—“We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:” 2nd Peter:1:19
Beloved please letting one’s light shine is not an arrogant manner of behaviour. One should simply not be ashamed to live the Christian life in the midst of his community. Please by living the principles of God in the community, one will give hope to those who desire an escape from the world that is in the bondage of Darkness!!!
The Bible Said—“Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.” 1st Peter:2:12
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:” 1st Peter:3:15
The Bible Said—“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans:1:16
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever. Amen!
