THE HIDDEN TREASURE
The bible said—“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.” Matthew:13:44 (KJV))
The hidden treasure is a story told by Jesus Christ to tell us about the Kingdom of God. Because we all love stories so Jesus used wonderful stories to describe the importance and how wonderful the Kingdom of God is so that we will be eager and increase our desire to inherit the Kingdom prepared for us from the foundation of the world.
The treasure is Jesus Christ himself. The field is the gospel. The man is you and I which is the believers and unbelievers.
The man found a treasure hid in the field and he hides it again to show how important the treasure is to man. Jesus Christ is the most valuable treasure a person can possess.
The Bible said—“Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,” Philippians:3:8 (KJV)
“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts:4:12 (KJV)
The man did not go to borrow money to buy the field, but went to sell all that he has to buy the field where the treasure is hidden so as to possess all. Jesus Christ is the true treasure, in him there is an abundance of all that which is rich and useful, and will be a portion for us in all fullness. Treasure of wisdom and knowledge, of righteousness, peace and grace and love, these and many more are laid up for us in Christ Jesus, and if we have an interest in him and make him our Lord and Saviour, they are all our own.
The Bible said—“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.” John:1:16 (KJV)
“To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved” Ephesians:1:6 (KJV)
“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” 1st Corinthians:1:30.(KJV)
“For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ” 1St Corinthians:3:11 (KJV)
The field is the gospel where the treasure is hid, which means Jesus is hid in the gospel which is the Bible that we have and the Bible is the old and new testament, for you to discover Jesus Christ you need to dig deep into the gospel to really discover the truth and new meaning in the word of God and no part of the scripture is useless, all scriptures are useful and are for our spiritual upliftment and our growth. There is no one that can learn a trade in one day and there is no university degree that is obtained in one month, in fact, you really need to work hard for so many years to learn a trade or obtain a university degree, so it is with the treasure of Christ.
A person has to dig into the gospel and dig deep to find the treasure of the gospel. A person who has really tasted and learned the value of Christ hides the treasure in his heart. He seeks and seeks to lay hold on the gospel, he does not let the gospel go off his heart. He seeks and resolves to possess the treasure for life.
The Bible said—“That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:” Acts:17:27 (KJV )
“But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.” Deuteronomy:4:29 (KJV)
“Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’s anger” Zephaniah:2:3 (KJV)
“For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek ye me, and ye shall live:” Amos:5:4 (KJV)
Jesus Christ is the word of God and He is the Kingdom of Heaven. For you to have Jesus Christ in your life you must be ready to forsake all you have and repent of all your sins and come to Him so that He will be your Lord and Saviour. It is only in the gospel that you will discover the hidden treasure which is Jesus Christ and if you don’t dig deep in the gospel it will be very difficult for you to discover the treasure of salvation and redemption which Jesus Christ has made available for us through His death and resurrection and the person must be ready to present himself as a living sacrifice unto Christ.
The Bible said—“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts:2:38 (KJV)
“Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” Isaiah:55:7 (KJV)
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” Romans:12:1 (KJV)
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans:12:2 (KJV)
“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2nd Chronicles:7:14 (KJV)n
Jesus Christ is the treasure in the gospel that we have and we don’t need to go to Heaven before we have Him but Christ is in the word near us or the Bible we have and when we have Him we will experience full completeness, abundant of life and also the fruit of the Spirit.
The Bible said —“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John:10:10 (KJV)
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,. :23. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians:5:22-23 (KJV)
The treasure can only be found by those who live a Holy and faithful life so they are qualified to purchase the field where the treasure is hid. People with unrighteousness in their life, those who are still living in sin, those who do not have any relationship with God, in fact, those who do not have Jesus Christ in their life will not discover the treasure and will not be able to purchase the field where the treasure is hid because unrighteousness is sin and it separates us from God.
The Bible said—“Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers. 30. Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,. 31.Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:. 32. Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.” Romans:1:29-32 (KJV)
“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness. 20. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies. 21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5:19-21 (KJV)
Brethren, please come to Jesus Christ today with all your heart and with all your soul. Jesus Christ is the Bible you have near you and all the scriptures are there to give you the fullness of joy and the abundant of life that you need as a child of God but you only need to read, study, and meditate on the Word of God and obey the word of God. So Repent now for the Kingdom of God is at Hand. Let Jesus be in your life Continually.

PRAYER== “Righteous Father, I thank you for today that you have made, I will be glad and rejoice in it. Holy Father, I thank you for your message of salvation that has touched my life. God I am a miserable sinner but today that I have heard your word I have decided to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. Faithful Father wash away my sins now with the precious blood of Jesus Christ and cleanse me from all unrighteousness. God I thank you for washing away my sins with the blood of Jesus Christ. God I thank you for saving my life. God I thank you for the new life you have given me and I beg you Righteous Father to give me power to sustain this new life you have given me and to make heaven at last. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I have prayed. Amen.”
