The bible said—“And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid.” 2nd Kings:4:16

Beloved please the Shunammite woman realized that Elisha was a man of God, and so she prepared a room for him to use whenever he was in town. She did this out of kindness and because she sensed a need, not for selfish motives.

Beloved the faith and religious culture of the woman was manifested in her desire to care for the needs of a man of God who was traveling. Instead of seeing the man of God as someone from whom she could possibly reap benefits, she saw him as an opportunity to glorify God by serving the man of God. And the very kindness of the Shunammite woman made Elisha the man of God very happy.

The bible said—“And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people. 14. And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old. 15. And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door. 16. And he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thine handmaid.” 2nd Kings:4:13-16

Beloved the woman said, don’t mislead your servant, oh man of God. She said it with unbelief because her husband was old and she also is old and passed the age of giving birth to children. However, her kindness to the man of God was rewarded far beyond her wildest dreams. Please how sensitive are you to those who pass by your home and flow through your life — especially those who teach and preach the word of God? Please the woman identified the needs of Elisha the man of God and met his needs, so look out for ways to serve and help those in need around you most especially the servants of God. And God shall surely reward you beyond your expectations, just like the miracle of the Shunammite woman that God gave her body strength to conceive and give birth to a son. Amen.

Beloved please the Mount Olivet Evangelical Ministries needs a house for the work of God in Abuja Nigeria and I know there are so many Shunammite women out there that could meet the need of the ministry of Christ and receive exceeding blessing from God and the Lord Jesus Christ for their special offering to God. Amen.

Beloved please so many people in the Holy Bible were blessed exceedingly because of their special offering to God.

1. Please King Solomon was blessed by God because of his special offering to God. Please read 1st Kings 3:1-15 =

2. Please Hannah the wife of Elkannah who was barren was blessed with a child by God and the child was called Samuel and Samuel is one of the greatest prophets in the Holy Bible. Please read 1st Samuel 1:1-28 and 2:18-21 =

3. Please Tabitha who is called Dorcas died and came back to life after Peter the disciple of Jesus Christ prayed for her. The bible said Tabitha was full of good works and armsdeeds which means she was always giving special offering to God. Please read Acts 9:36-43 = Please the bible is full of those who were blessed exceedingly by God because of their special offering to God but we just mentioned a few because of time, thus if you believe in God and the prophets of God you shall prosper in every aspect of life.

The bible said—“And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: and as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, Hear me, O Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” 2nd Chronicles:20:20
