The bible said—“And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.” Ruth:1:16-17

Beloved please agape love, unconditional love can never and will never fail you. Please this is practical love from Ruth to her mother in law, Naomi, she did not only say it but she put it in action to Naomi by cleaving to her mother in law, even in her unpleasant situation when all hope was lost and she was still bent on following her mother in law. Please in this scripture, God is telling us that we should not allow our condition or unpleasant situation destroy our love for others in every aspect of life for us to enjoy the love of God because God is love.

The bible said—“Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.” Romans:12:9

“And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you: To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.” 1st Thessalonians:3:12-13

The bible said—“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 1st John:4:16-18

Beloved please Ruth is a Moabitess but that did not stop her from worshiping the true God nor did it stop God from accepting her worship and blessing her greatly. The Jews were not the only people God loved. God chose the Jews to be the people through whom the rest of the world would come to know Him. Please this was fulfilled when Jesus Christ was born as a Jew. Through Jesus Christ, the entire world can come to know God our heavenly Father.

The bible said—“But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. The word which God sent unto the children of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ: (he is Lord of all:)” Acts:10:35-36

Beloved please God accepts all who worship Him in spirit and in truth; God works through people regardless of their race, sex, riches, poverty or nationality, and thus the book of Ruth is a perfect example of God’s impartiality. Although Ruth belong to a race often despised by Israel but she was blessed because of her faithfulness and unconditional love. She became a great grand mother of King David of Israel and a direct ancestor of Jesus Christ. Please no one should feel disqualified to serve God because of race, sex, riches, poverty or national background. And God can use every circumstance to build His Kingdom through those who make themselves available to be used by God to build the kingdom of God. Please we may not all be in the field but our resources will be very very useful to the work of the Kingdom and God shall surely bless us exceedingly for our faithfulness. Please remember that Ruth was blessed because she identified with the people of God. “Thy God my God.” Ruth 1:16 =

The bible said—“For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” James:2:26
